Hywel's role as a Non-Executive Director is to represent a group of Angel Investors who have provided seed capital funding to the company.

Hywel's background is in healthcare having qualified from St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical School in 1981. Hywel worked as a GP with a special interest in respiratory medicine and clinical research.

In 1997 with support from the ABPI and venture capital backing from GlaxoWellcome and HG Capital, Hywel founded and led Profiad, the UK's first network site management organisation. Hywel offers advice on medical and strategic issues to the Apodi board
